Minimum Order Policy

Minimum Order $30.00 (before tax and shipping)

It is impossible to inventory all the thousands of items we offer and many are shipped directly from the manufacturer. Many have minimum order policies and impose a special extra fee on the orders that do not meet that minimum. At checkout, if your order does not meet the minimum, you will have the option of adding more items to your cart, accepting the additional handling fee or canceling your order. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Shipping, Handling & Delivery

  • Special Orders:
    Some disability products are shipped direct from the factory or are made to order. These will normally be shipped within 10 - 14 business days. In other cases, manufacturers may require additional time for customization or assembly of orders. In most cases, Simple Abilities has provided special shipping condition comments in the product description and/or on its ordering screen, notifying you of any special circumstances. If you have any concerns, please contact info@simpleabilities.com for details.
  • Shipping & Handling:
    All freight charges and special handling are the responsibility of the purchaser and will be added to your invoice. In addition, you will also be responsible for any, disbursement fees, brokerage cost and/or other fees charged by carrier.

All shipments will be F.O.B. our facilities or manufacturers location. Multiple product orders may result in shipments from more than one Manufacturer location and will be charged accordingly. Simple Abilities will always ship via its preferred carrier unless specified by you at the time of ordering. All freight charges are applied to your invoice and are limited to the insurance value of the carrier.

Latin America, Hawaii, Alaska, and all other international orders, are subject to surcharges, which require confirmation before shipping. Please select, "International Order" to have a Simple Abilities Representative assist you.

Delivery Notice

Heavy and bulky items are sent by common carrier. Palletizing and/or any other special circumstances as charged by the carrier may include additional charges. If an inside delivery is required, any additional charges will be added to your invoice. Please note, that all additional services you request from the carrier and not paid at the time of invoicing from Simple Abilities will be your responsibility.

Deliveries to post office boxes, restricted or remote locations will require special arrangements. If you require shipping to a special location, please contact Simple Abilities to make the necessary arrangements.

Simple Abilities relies on carriers to deliver disability products ordered by you to your location and/or any other location you determine. Simple Abilities does not assume any responsibilities offered or extended by carriers.

Return & Exchanges Procedures

  • Contact the Customer Service Department toll free at 1.877.470.1700, Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PST or email us at info@simpleabilities.com anytime for a "returned authorization" number ('RA' number). Write this number on the outside of your return shipment and send your package to Simple Abilities. All return shipping expenses are paid by the customer.
  • In the event of defective merchandise or merchandise returned for repair, we will credit your account for the returned shipping expense once merchandise has been received, inspected and confirmed to be defective.
  • If you receive merchandise as a result of a Simple Abilities error we will pay the return shipping expense and no restocking fee will be applied.
  • Once merchandise has been received, inspected and confirmed to be in suitable condition, we will credit you account minus the required restocking fee. Credits will not be issued for items received in non-resalable condition. The customer is responsible for properly packaging and protecting the item during its shipping back to Simple Abilities. Initial freight charges are not credited. All credits must be redeemed within 120 days.
  • All returns must have a RA number (a Returned Authorization number obtained from our Customer Service Dept.) All unauthorized returns are subject to a 25% processing fee and a $25.00 administrative charge.
  • All returns and exchanges must be in original packaging and received in new and resalable condition. For applicable restocking fees consult the chart below.

Sorry no returns will be accepted after 90 days.
  • Sorry, but for health reasons we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on eating, hygiene, mouth stick products or personal wear. In addition, we cannot accept books, computer software, any computer hardware that requires specialized handling conditions and videos that have been removed from original packaging.
  • Credits for returns are issued only to original purchaser.
  • No cash refunds can be issued for under $25.00. Credit balances will be applied to future purchases made within 180 days.

Damaged Goods

Damaged shipments should be reported within 3 days of receipt.

If a shipment arrives damaged or if the box appears damaged:

  • Note damage on the delivery bill and have the driver or representative sign it, acknowledging the damage.
  • Contact Simple Abilities Customer Service Department toll free at 1.877.470.1700 or email us and you will receive information on how to proceed with an insurance claim. An order will be entered at that time to replace and re-ship the merchandise.

If damage is not obvious at the time of delivery:

  • Call the carrier or representative within 10 days and request an inspection.
  • Save the container and merchandise for inspection.

Lost Shipments

If a partial shipment arrives indicating a shipment was shipped in two or more boxes and one or more boxes appears to be missing, please allow a few days. Shipments may get split up in transit. If, after a reasonable period, the rest of the shipment (or all of it) still is missing, please call Simple Abilities Customer Service Department toll free at 1.877.470.1700 or email us and we will put a trace on your shipment. Typically carriers will not accept a trace request from the receiver.

Terms

Terms for Corporate Accounts are net 30 days. All orders must be paid in full within 30 days of invoice receipt. Any invoice discrepancy must be submitted in writing within 30 days of receipt of the invoice. Send all remittance to:

Return check's are subject to a $25.00 fee. When there is an undisputed past balance on the account, Simple Abilities reserves the right to withhold shipment of pending orders. Overdue invoices shall be subject to interest charged at 1.75% per month, or a maximum rate allowed by law. The customer shall be responsible for any cost of collection.

Sales Tax and Exemptions

Simple Abilities is responsible for collecting tax in the jurisdictions, which it is registered in and those taxes will be reflected on your invoice. Taxes that may be payable in other jurisdictions are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Corporate Accounts

If the facility receiving the merchandise is exempt from tax, include a copy of your exemption letter, certification or resale certification with your payment. Your sales tax will then be credited and exempted for all future orders.

Limited Product Warranty

Simple Abilities warrants that all products shall be free from manufacturing defects for a period of one year from the date of shipment or as specified by the manufacturers own warranties and polices supplied with the product, which may be equal or less. OTHER THAN THE FOREGOING WARRANTY, SIMPLE ABILITIES MAKES NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE PRODUCT. The customer must notify Simple Abilities of any manufacturing defect within five (5) days of discovery. Upon a determination by Simple Abilities that the product is defective, Simple Abilities sole and exclusive obligation shall be to provide customer with a replacement product or a refund of the purchase price. In no event shall Simple Abilities be liable for any other costs or expenses including lost profits or direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or punitive damages. In the event the product includes a warranty card or extended warranty from the manufacturer, customer's sole recourse under such warranty shall be against the manufacturer. The warranty set forth herein, shall govern all purchases, notwithstanding any inconsistent terms and conditions of customer's purchase order.

shipping costs will vary considerably depending upon size, weight,
shipping method and your location. We want you to get the best value
and our Customer Service Department will review the items in your order

soon as possible with advise on your shipping options. As soon as we
